Plein air, Oil Painting, and Pastels

Joy, exuberance, texture, vibrant colors and the interplay of light, shadow and passion are what I hope to capture in my work – whether en plein air or in my studio. I am a fortunate artist, who lives and works in Colorado. The mountains and all of outdoors, varied seasons, water and intriguing skies are key elements in most of my work. My style is both impressionistic and expressionistic with the use of color, light, brushwork and emotion in my oil paintings and soft pastels.

My work has been shown in Aspen, Breckenridge, Frisco, Estes Park and Grand Lake, as well as The Depot Gallery, Main Street Fine Art Gallery, Mary Williams Fine Art, Space Gallery, Cherokee Castle, and Outnumbered Gallery in Littleton.  I have participated in numerous Plein Air events throughout Colorado and Minnesota. I am a member of Plein Air Artists of Colorado, Colorado Pastel Society, The Littleton Fine Arts Guild and Roxborough Arts.

My studio is located at artSPARK Creative Studios, 5650 S. Curtice St., Littleton - where I teach a variety of classes – in the studio and plein air.

Victoria Holgate

Professional Life Coach/Mixed Media Artist/Creativity Mentor

After coming to terms with and working to overcome my struggles with chronic perfectionism, I fulfilled my lifelong dream of returning to college…at 45 years of age. Two weeks shy of my 50th birthday, I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in psychology along with a minor in Integrative Healthcare. It was in my academic endeavors that I realized the importance and healing qualities of women pursuing an authentic, creative, and joyful life. Since that time, I have committed my life to empowering women to work through their own personal struggle and adversity, which is why I made the decision to become a professional life coach. Through our personal stories and inner narrative, we can journey from a place of striving to thriving. Two predominate factors allow me to guide women on this journey: reframing our thoughts and pursuing creativity. My creative endeavors led me teach art journaling and other creative classes to women and teenage girls. In addition, I facilitate group and individual coaching along with teaching online classes; all of which allow me to use my story to guide women on their own unique and personal journeys.
